If you ask me, yesterday’s COAG decision to reclassify the Adler shotgun, under the National Firearms Agreement, is a huge step backwards for democracy in Australia and a clear demonstration of how unsuitable our so-called leaders are. For years these ‘leaders’ have been telling us how important the NFA (National Firearms Agreement) is, and how it has been keeping Australians safe (with absolutely no real statistical evidence to support this view, mind you). Yet, as soon as the anti-gun clowns invent a perceived threat, through their own uneducated and ill-informed hysteria, these ‘leaders’ cave in and butcher the NFA to placate them.
The decision made, at COAG, is to move the 5-shot Adler shotgun into Category B and the 7-shot Adler shotgun into Category D. This is completely nonsensical and ridiculous and only illustrates how little Malcolm Turnbull and the Premiers understand their own NFA and how little they know about firearms and the gun laws.
If the PM and the Premiers are not sheep, who have been cowered into this action by the lies of The Greens and Gun Contol Australia (GCA), then the only other feasible explanation, is that the Prime Minister and the Premiers know exactly what they are doing and that they are following the anti-gun mantra to the letter. If this is the case, could it be that they only paying lip-service to the concept of personal freedoms and are, in fact, determined to totally remove private ownership of firearms, one ruling at a time? Sadly, this would seem the most likely answer.
Under the Existing NFA:
Category A is for: A1 – Air Rifle, A-2 Rimfire Rifle, A3 – Shotgun (other than pump action or self-loading) and A4 – Shotgun/Rimfire Rifle Combination.
Category B is for: B1 – Muzzle Loading Firearms (other than Pistols), B2 – Centrefire Rifle (other than self-loading) and B – 3 Centrefire Rifle/Shotgun Combination.
Category D is for: D1 – Self-Loading Centre-Fire Rifle, D2 – Self-Loading Rimfire Rifle, D3 – Pump Action Shotgun and D4 – Self-Loading Shotgun.
So how on earth can these people decide to move the 5-shot Adler out of Category A, when it is clearly a Category A firearm and has been legally available for some time in this country. During the time that it has been available, there have been absolutely zero instances of these ‘death machines’, as the paranoid anti-gun crowd would describe them, being involved in any illegal acts. Further, there are lots of other lever action shotguns that have been available for around 130 years, and which are already in Category A, and none of them have been involved in any illegal activities, either. How can they then put this firearm into Category B which, is clearly, for Centrefire Rifles. A lever action shotgun is NOT a centrefire rifle.
Then they decided to put the 7-shot Adler into Category D, which is meant for semi-autos and pump-action shotguns. Again, the Adler is a lever action and not a pump or semi-auto. In addition, how on earth does two (2) extra rounds in the magazine make any difference? What sort of narrow and nonsensical thinking believes that two (2) extra rounds in the magazine makes one firearm a Category D and the other a Category B?
Magazine Capacity Should NOT Affect Category
The truth is that lots of different firearms, of various makes and models, come with options for different magazine capacities. However, these firearms are not spilt up between different Categories based upon whether that are fitted with a 3, 4, 5 or 10 shot magazine. The fact that COAG has decided to do this with the Adler shotgun indicates that the Ministers are totally ignorant about firearms and, therefore, totally unfit to make decisions and laws about firearms. It also shows that their advisors are also totally ignorant or completely biased and, in either event, are not qualified to be advising their Ministers on firearms related matters.
The only other alternatives, to explain this ridiculous decision, is that either the Prime Minister, Malcolm the Usurper, and this henchmen are so intimidated by the noisy and dishonest anti-gun buffoons, that they are incapable of clear and independent thoughts and decisions. Alternatively, they are using lies and propaganda of the The Greens and GCA to justify their anti-gun aggenda. In either case, they are clearly unfit for the positions that they hold.
My final thought is addressed to all Australians, whether you are pro-gun or anti-gun or somewhere in between, but this event should be of serious to concern to all of us. The fact that our ‘leaders’ can be so easily duped by the lies and hysteria of the anti-gun crowd bodes ill for any legislative action that these ‘leaders’ are involved in. These ‘leaders’ obviously cannot be trusted as their duties and their responsibilities can easily be ‘bought’ through any half-baked campaign of lies and misinformation. These ‘leaders’ are incapable of rational and reasoned debate or decision making. These ‘leaders’ need to go and at the next election, we all need to look carefully at the Adler fiasco and how poorly our ‘leaders’ have handled this matter.
