Shingelani Safaris offers some great hunting opportunities in Africa. We have put a lot of work into finding the best deals, for our clients, and so you can enjoy these opportunities at unbeatable prices that are tailored to the Australian and Asia Pacific markets. This means that you will not be paying the high prices that some hunting companies charge their US and European customers.

In addition to Shingelani Safaris, lady hunters can be specifically accommodated through our companion operation, Lady Hunt. Who better to guide a female hunter than a female professional hunter and that is what Lady Hunt offers.

With Shingelani Safaris, rifle hunters and bow-hunters are equally welcome. Our professional hunters are keen firearm and bow-hunters, themselves, so they understand the experience that you are looking for and also how you want to hunt.

Plains game hunts;

We have a number of base camps, located throughout South Africa, giving access to most plains game species. In addition, hunts can be arranged in other countries, such as Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Cameroon and elsewhere, should you be looking for game that is not available in South Africa or if you are looking for a hunting adventure in new territory.

Dangerous game hunts;

We conduct fair-chase hunts for elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and hippo; experience the exhilaration hunting these dangerous animals on foot and up close.

Wing-shooting;

We provide some of the best bird shooting in the world and you can expect to fire upwards of 500 cartridges per day! Target species include spurwing geese, Egyptian goose, ducks (10 species), guinea fowl, pheasants, francolin, pigeons and doves,

Big Game Fishing,

We offer big game fishing in Natal and Cape Town. Fishing for other species, both salt and freshwater, can be arranged as well.

Photographic safaris.

We ensure that your photo safari is as unique as you and we will provide you with a personalised experience., Whether filming the great game, the fabulous scenery of Africa or famous tourist locations, we can create the perfect photo safari for you.

General Sightseeing.

Whatever you want to see in Africa, we can arrange dedicated sightseeing safaris or add-on safaris to your hunting, fishing or photographic safaris.

Daily Rates

PLAINS GAME HUNT:

• • 1 hunter  &  1 PH  – $Aud 510 per day.
  • 2 hunters & 1 PH  – $Aud 440 per day.

DANGEROUS HUNT:

• • 1 hunter & 2 PHs – $Aud 840 per day.

OBSERVERS:

• • $Aud 295 per day.

Included in Day Rates:

1. Belt with logo,
2. Cap with logo,

5. Wine and beer (in moderation) included,
6. Soft drinks & bottled water Included ,
7. Return transport from airport to the hunting concession (O.R. Thambo to Northam),
8. Loan rifles available at no cost,

12. Professional hunters services,
13. Hunting outfitters services,
14. Trophy preparation in field for taxidermy, and
15. Delivery of trophies to taxidermy (in RSA).

Excluded from Day Rates:

1. Any accommodation after arrival before commence of safari,
2. Any expenditure of personal nature whilst in South Africa,
3. Any required transport to hunt special species not on the concession and where charters are required,
4. Any TOPS (threatened or protected species) permits, CITES permits for CITES Species,
5. Taxidermy costs (Client to liaise direct with taxidermy upon taxidermy receiving the raw trophies),
6. Ammunition, for loan rifle (if client does not bring own rifle), at cost price,
7. Any damage to Safari Equipment used by client if it should occur (Binoculars, Rifle, Scope etc), and
8. Gratuities. Note that it is customary to allow for a 10% surcharge, on top of the Safari Cost, to cover tips and gratuities. For example, if the entire safari costs AUD 12,000-00, then it would be customary to tip AUD 1,200-00. This incentive is there to entice and secure the excellent services of all staff involved to make the hunt a memorable and joyful experience with the highest success rate possible. Trackers, skinners and camp staff, so motivated, will put in an enormous effort to ensure that your safari will be the best possible.
